Bath Time-Island Hopping,Virgin Gorda

Life’s a Beach in Virgin Gorda

When Christopher Columbus first saw this island from his ship he decided it looked like a reclining rotund woman and named it Virgin Gorda.

The third largest of the BVI islands it is only 8 square mile-but what miles!

Discovered by Rockefeller in the 60s, and as he did on St. John developed a world class resort in Little Dix Bay and importantly donated land to be preserved as national parks areas.

Anchored by the Atlantic on one side and the yummy Caribbean on the other this jewel of an island is protected from blunt force of hurricanes and is a haven for boats seeking protection from storms. The Mountainous center of this island formed by volcanoes allow views of the entire BVI chain and Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island.

Don’t Miss:

Located on the southern-end of the island is the “Stonehenge” of the Caribbean-The Baths as they are known are a series of rock formations nestled and snuggled in along the beach forming grottoes that open onto the Caribbean.

Little Dix Bay
simply you will pinch yourself and never want to leave this piece of perfection.
